CELEBRACION DE HALLOWEEN 2015
- Detalles
This year Halloween was on a Saturday so we celebrated it on the Friday the 30th.
The first three hours we all had our normal classes, then we started our Halloween Party.
Years 1 and 2 had a craft competition. The winners from Year 1 were Laura Jiménez, Imma Jiménez and Claudia García. The winners from Year 2 were Lucía Repiso, Nazaret, Samuel Burgueño Luque and Pablo Alcaraz Gómez.
Years 3 and 4 had a cake competition with a halloween theme. We went and queued to get our cutlery, serviettes and drink to enter the S.U.M. to start tasting the cakes. The winners of the competition were Yasmin Rose Standen, Estela del Carmen Moreno Corpas, Juan Jesús Rodríguez Serrano and Adrián Valverde Serrano from 3rd B who won 20€ to spend in the cafeteria. In second place were Alejandro Ruiz Malagón, Alejandro Nicolás Medina García and Francisco Javier Montilla from 3rd B who won 15€ to spend in the cafeteria. In third place were María Pacheco Gámiz, María Cobo Llamas, Lorena Guerrero Ferrer and Nuria Pedrosa Gómez who won 10€ to spend in the cafeteria.
After tasting all the delicious cakes we went back to our classrooms and we all got dressed in our halloween costumes. Then we started decorating our doors with all different spooky halloween decorations for the contest. Each class were given a theme selected by Year 4 for the Halloween outfits, which were were also part of the competition.
When 4th hour finished we headed back to the S.U.M. to find out who had won the door decoration and the costume contest.
Finally at 6th hour some students from Year 4 told us a terrifying story in the S.U.M. that they had written themselves. A teacher announced that each class had to go to different areas of the playground with one of the students that had just told their story in the S.U.M. We then had to make groups of four people and think of a spooky story. Aterwards we told the student our stories and they gave each group a mark out of ten of what they thought it was worth. It was then discussed between the students which group told the best story and the winners were announced.
A big thankyou to Year 4 for organising our Halloween Celebrations. Everyone put in a lot of effort to make it fun for everyone.
It was great to see everyone had participated in either craft making, baking a cake or dressing up in a spooky costume.
It was a brilliant day, we all had great fun!

CELEBRACIÓN DEL DÍA EUROPEO DE LAS LENGUAS
- Detalles

DAY OF EUROPE
- Detalles
The 9th of May is Day of Europe, but this year it fell on Sarturday so we celebrated it on Friday 8th of May.
To begin this day year 1 and 2 had class and year 3 and 4 went to the S.U.M. to do some activities.
Year 1 and 2, as we finished our class and the bell rang we all went to the S.U.M. to do some activities. First of all, Carmen María gave an introduction to the day and explained a little bit about the day. Then year 1, said some phrases dedicated to the day in English. After that, year 2A sang the song “Live your Life”. To end these activities some children: Martín, Javi, Juan Jesús, Carlos, Jaime, Antonio and I played the national anthem of the happiness and at the same time year 1A played it but with their recorders. When we finished we had a round of aplause.
Afterwards, we went to our classrooms to put our instruments away. Then suddenly we went outside to the entrance gates. When we got outside, the association “Apdisiz” were there with superviser jackets to guide the way and there was also some teachers; some giving out the “dorsales” and some safety pins to put them on. Then, we all went outside of the gates, all prepared to begin the race. There were teachers dotted around the circuit to guide us the correct way. Carmen María was outside with a megaphone. She suddenly counted down: three, two, one.... After she announced the number one we all set off. We had to go down the Street “El Barrio”, then past the park that is on the way down, right the way down to the lake. When we all got there, Paco was there with a stamp and he stamped our number with the name of our highschool and the name of the asociation on it. After, we had to turn round and go back up the hill which passes by the park. Passing the Street “Puente del Agua” until we got to the highschool. There, we found a stall with some teachers on it giving everyone a little bottle of water and there was also a box of cakes.
Then after that, while year 3 and 4 were in the S.U.M. with the asociation Apdisiz, we did a gymkhana going to every classroom and to the football pitch. As soon as we finished the gymkhana we went to the S.U.M. so the asociation Apdisiz could say a bit about themselves and to see what they do. At the same time year 3 and 4 did the gymkhana. They showed us a presentation that a lady from the asociation had done, which was very interesting. They also showed us a video about a girl that on a normal day she developed brain damage and how she progressed through her life. One of the ladies from the asociation read out some of our messages and questions that we wrote dedicated to them. At the end of this, we all clapped and went outside to the playground. In a little while, we all went to the sports hall to taste the sweet and savoury dishes that everyone had made. Finally, Carmen María announced the prizes of the race and the yincana with a megaphone. She started with the winners of the race. Male (1st cycle): In third place;Valentín from 2A, in second place; Alejandro Nicolás from 2A and in first place; Martín from 1A. Female: In second place; Patricia from 1A and in first place; Yasmin Rose from 2A. Male (2nd cycle): In third place; Ulices, in second place; Victor from year 4 and in first place; Antonio from 3B.
