TRIP TO CÓRDOBA

visita córdobaOn the 20th of February year 2ºA and 3ºA went on a school trip to Córdoba to watch a show called “Frankenstein”.

The bus dropped us off and we went to find the threatre. We got a bit lost, even though both of the teachers had maps. In the end, we found it. When we arrived there were a lot of children from other schools. Soon after we got there, the show started. The show was very good, although we had to sit on very uncomfotable chairs for an hour and a half; but it was fine. Afterwards, we went and got the bus to go to the Mezquita.

Before going to the Mezquita, we went to a lovely square with a beautiful fountain in the centre to have breakfast. We also had time to have a look around the square. Then, we went into the Mezquita. We all had to stay in a group, but unfortunately some of the group went alone without any teachers and of course the security saw them alone and took them outside. The others carried on looking around the Mezquita. We were all admiring all of the different sculptures and statues that were inside. There was one part where we went which had famous Arabic signatures. They were not normal, instead they were different shapes. After we had seen it all, we went outside to catch up with the others and we all had a photo taken. We had to find someone to take the photo so we found a man, but he refused. So then we asked a lady and she was very friendly and accepted.

When we were crossing the “Puente Romano” we found a man on a stool painting, so the class of 2ºA stayed and watched him, meanwhile the others had gone. He did these paintings only using his fingers. He used different colour oil paints and he would paint on a rectangular piece of glass and then put another piece of glass behind to protect it. He did landscapes and flower paintings. First of all, he did a landscape one and as we had spent our time watching it; Carmen María bought it for the highschool. Afterwards, he did a flower painting and he put Iznájar in the bottom corner, which he did with his nail. This man was over the moon, because nearly all of us bought one. He was a very talented man!

Finally, after having our photo taken we all went to “El Arcángel”; a very big shopping centre. First of all, we had lunch and then we went round the shops. At the end of the day, we all went to get the bus to return home.

This day has been wonderful!
